That's the least of my problems

There is a new catch phrase that has been floating around my school (teachers) this year.

"That's the least of my problems!"

The administrators in the building get upset when we let students listen to ipods in class.
I told them recently when they were discussing them, "That's the least of my problems!"

I went into a math teacher's room after school today and they were discussing an instance that happened in class earlier.

A teacher asked a student, "Which is the larger number 4 or 5?" and the student looked at her with a vacant expression.

The math teacher looked at her and said, "That's the least of my problems."

There are too many instances of this being said (and to much larger degrees) this year that I can't even go into them all.

Isn't it sad that this is where teachers are at?

Have you noticed any catch phrases around your school lately?

  1. Can't say I've noticed catch phrases, but I had the ipod conversation yesterday with one of my administrators. I wanted to let them listen to them as an incentive (one less thing I have to buy), but apparently can only allow it if it's directly connected to the lesson. What's your school's policy?

    1. I don't even know anymore what the rules are because the code of conduct for our school are out of date.

I use them in the classroom as I see fit, and really....we have bigger fish to fry than iPods in the classroom!

I wish the higher ups could see that!
